Upload and processing
Mindley validates the file type, extracts digital text when available, and can attempt vision-based extraction for scanned content. The Free plan currently supports one study set with a combined 10 MB source limit.
What the output includes
- Editable structured notes
- Key concepts and definitions
- Tables when useful and supported by the source
- Connected flashcard and quiz generation
- Private storage inside the study set
Digital and scanned PDFs
Text-based PDFs generally extract more reliably. Scanned pages depend on image clarity and OCR. Very large scanned documents may be sampled to control processing, so review the coverage before relying on the notes.
Tables, images, and layout limitations
Multi-column layouts, footnotes, equations, charts, and nested tables can lose structure during extraction. Image explanations may not preserve every label or visual relationship.
Privacy and retention
Study sets are authenticated and excluded from the public sitemap. Mindley uses service providers to store and process content as described in the Privacy Policy. Delete files you no longer need and avoid uploading confidential or restricted material.
Frequently asked questions
What is the PDF limit on the Free plan?
The current Free plan accepts one lifetime study set with up to 10 MB of combined source files.
Will every page be included?
Not always. Extraction can fail or sample pages in scanned, very large, copy-protected, or unusually formatted documents.
